parisian - part 2
(this is like a journal bout my life in paris - altho a week,hehe.. everyday ill write bit by bit so, if u mind, read from below please..its continuous. so if u read from top, u'll be a little bit blurred.. it starts from sheer experience..parisian, tq)
my feet finally stepped off the huge triple 7 jet. do u know, on board, ur foot will get bigger - it's true..try taking off ur shoes n put it back after landing, surely u'll have a really hard time thinking what the hell is goin on..hehe. charles de gaulle - to hear the name itself was mesmerizing me. but, hell..the airport was like..damn, compared to klia or even subang international, it was probably outclassed, miles of course. a part of that, it's like so ineffiecient and inconvenient. we arrived and was walking thru the customs (camnie ke eje kastam wakaka), there were only two of them opened, and 300 passengers trying to pass one by one. really exhausting, after a jetlagging tiring flight, certainly i expected more than being in a queue for half an hour just to get ur passport getting stamped. imagine to have puffed bed with pillows, argh..my leg hurts already. waiting and waiting, having small steps in the queue. finally! at last, greeted the man in jacket(the officer of course) with a little french that i learnt on board. "bonjour" - means good day or good morning i guess. on board, my lilbro got this book french for dummies, sounds poyo but it helped a lot during the week in paris.. i got the stamp from the officer and yeay, finally out of the hall. we then collected our bags at the luggage collecting area. in cdg, people can smoke everywhere they want.. quite funny compared to msia but it's sort of their culture.. the airport was sucks, but they got this 400metre walkalator - one of a kind. it was sooo long, passed like small hills, bumps i guess. and the walkalator will ascend and descend too. it was 5am in the morning , paris is +0200 from greenwich( u know the small town in london) and msia is +0800 so we saved like 6hours ..11pm in msia and arrived about 5am in paris.
we have already booked a place in bercy, it was a small nice town - it's like the uptown of paris tho. very cozy and not that busy. so, after renting a huge cab - we could only find a cab that could carry 6large suitcases after an hour of searching..we went straight to the apartment. the name was something like travel bla2..i couldn't remember. but it ws in front of nikko bercy. huh, another thing, it was damn cold outside, 1 deg celcius..not snowing but particularly cool (tribute friday nite -the darkness,heh)..not cool but freezizng cold actually..hehe..bercy was about 40minutes drive from cdg - macam klang-kl la..wakakaka..i was so tired actually. but was so excited to see the view while in the cab, so i widen my eyes a lil bit. we arrived the aprtment, my parenz rented 2 units of it..it was quite big, with 2 single beds and a double bed inside, with a kitchen too..and a dining table. so. me n my bro n my parenz stayed in one, my sisters and my aunt stayed in another..the receptionist was frenly, damn i will not forget mr pascal..with his english with the french accent..haha, quite funny but he helped us with everything he could, directions, phamplets and so on.
after resting for an hour and settled things, we went for a short walk to the town of bercy. it was windy and cold but after a while, i got used to it. it was like smoking for the whole day as smoke comes out from ur mouth while u breathe or even talk (not smokela, but ape ek..xto wakaka)..bercy had a small shopping area called bercy village.. a place with shopping shops and souvenirs in it. very nice indeed. we walked about 10mins to the supermarket or 'le merche' - my dad's fave hangout - everyday would be le merche for him.. we bought food to cook that day. p/s: human need food to survive. so, after walking and a lil bit of sightseeing, we decided to go back to our bunks. my mum cooked spaghetti for us - no meat ..yikes, boring speg.. (tp same cam aku buat kt utp la,sdap bakk)..hehe, then after eating we slept the whole day..it was like heaven to sleep from 5pm to 7am next morning..wakaka,long time no sleep like that on la..haha.so, the first day in paris was just to get the finest rest that we could..
the next day will be a very bright and cheerful one for us..of course!
-the end-
