parisian - part 5
(this is like a journal bout my life in paris - altho a week,hehe.. everyday ill write bit by bit so, if u mind, read from below please..its continuous. so if u read from top, u'll be a little bit blurred.. it starts from sheer experience..parisian, tq)
eiffel,here we come!! (8-2-05)
"happy birthday!!!', the 8th was my lis sis's bday(nani)..altho it was her bday everyone seemed to more excited getting to eiffel, too bad..hehe. anyway she asked daddy for a new hp since hers dah rosak before leaving to paris (she got one day before yesterday - a sony ericson plak tuh). so, as usual we woke up and had breakfast. we woke up quite late actually, i was the last to wake up bcoz last nite i watched football on tv. u know this french maniac tv producers will only show football macthes that have french players for either side of the team - sucks! like watching the french league oftenly on french tv was sucks but watching 24-7 arsenal on the highlites was 5 times sucker..last nite was the game between france and sweden, it ended 1-1. i slept late and woke up at about 1030am..we got ready and headed to cour st emillion - the train station i mentioned before.
before leaving for the train, i grabbed my phone card (forgot to mention but i bought it for 15euros yesterday..amazingly i could be used for only 5minutes tho - damn expensive) and called huda for 30seconds..the numbers were descending fastly ..100..99..98..97..96! then i finished talking and hung up. my elder sis was also calling asri .. those were the thing we did together every morning and evening..we went through the ticket machine, or collecter or barrier..ntah la,that things that seduts the ticket haha..then going down the escalators to the metro subway platform. the amazing thing about these trains is passengers must open the doors their own to go in and out the train..so if we are not used to the train, we'll be waiting like forever for the doors to open magically.
after 30minutes train ride (the route to eiffel was the busiest route - bcoz eiffel is like the main part of paris), we ended up at the metro station that was 10minutes walking distance to the eiffel itself. we were all very happy - first time to see eiffel live beneath our eyes (hoih, btol ke ayat ni..who cares). walked along the siene river towards eiffel, we were mesmerized by the beauty of the eiffel. it was like exactly the line in the song by Franki Valli - can't take my eyes off you..walking ahead but eyes was all over eiffel,as if it was a beautiful woman,huhu..but of course we looked at eiffel when we were stopping,if not camnerla kitrang crossed the road. xkan ltopje kot.. river seine was one of the wonders of paris too. it was very long indeed, tearing paris apart into two, left bank and right bank(wanted to tell a lot but i'll cotinue about siene on my next journey, hehe - stay tune folks). there was a lot of souvenir stalls and one of the stalls was quite cheap - we could already perform "the price budgeting" (bcoz we already visited like hundreds souvenir shops so we knew the prices right from keychains to frames, tshirts etc.). the owner then swiftly asked, "are you from malaysia?". we said yes and astonishingly he said, "slamat datang..ini gerai jalanan sahaja tp harge murah".. haha,we laughed actually but it seemed malaysia is not that bad in the eyes of the world - so be proud guys! we bought some keychains and stuffs from there and after a few minutes walk. there it stood tall and proud - THE EIFFEL TOWER.
-the end-
